UPSA student speaks about dress code incident
A lady who spoke to JoyNews shared her experience about how the school's enforcement of the dress code affected her.
Speaking after the incident, she admitted that she, like other students, knew the rules; however, she didn't expect to be a victim of the incident for wearing leather slippers.

On July 2, 2025, some UPSA students were embarrassed for not dressing appropriately for lectures. The students were prevented from entering lecture halls, while those who found themselves there before the task force started operating got sacked.
After the incident, a letter surfaced, indicating that the university had sent out an official warning, which emphasised how seriously management was taking the dress code policy.
The letter stated that, effective from July 1, 2025, the institution would enforce the policy with stricter measures, including the establishment of a task force dedicated to ensuring compliance. But the warning fell on deaf ears, since some students fell victim.
